The Models Workshop is located at the back of the Faculty of the Arts Building (Mexico Building) - Entrance via parking lot.
The Architecture Models Workshop is designed to accommodate students' needs in completing their academic assignments.
The workshop is equipped with top of the line tools and machinery for treating wide range of materials. Use of these tools by students is subject to a special mandatory training session at the beginning of junior year.
What is at the workshop?
· Woodworking table -Wood cutting machine for boards of up to 30 cm wide
· Polishing (sanding) machine
· Column drill
· Jigsaw
· Polishing tools
· Screwdrivers
· Drills
· Staple gun and more.
The school of Architecture Models Workshop is also equipped with a Chip Processing CNC machine and large-scale cutting equipment - operated by the supervisor only.
Prior to arriving at the workshop, students are required to have all measurements and/or AutoCAD file at hand or sent by eMail. Work order will be determined by complexity and time-consuming parameters.
Materials at the workshop may be limited in quantity and thus many prefer to purchase materials individually. It is highly advisable to consult with the supervisor before making such purchase.
