Not everyone has time to die, but Yael did. A decade after they first met at university, the director meets Yael for the second time, this time as a new patient bewildered in the oncology department while Yael, an experienced patient, illuminates her way in the darkness. Yael did not use her time for "big life experiences" but for a leap into the depths of the soul, for a clear-eyed contemplation of the fear of death. She passes on this sharp gaze to her daughter Mia and her partner Rani, who remain to continue life after her. The film oscillates between then and now, between life and death, where the taste of things becomes clear.
