We were thrilled to welcome over 150 guests this week for a special Night at the Movies at the luxurious Hamyard Hotel! The inspiring discussions and screenings provided us with the opportunity to enjoy several captivating films from the talented young filmmakers of our Steve Tisch School of Film and Television.

We were honored to feature the remarkable short film, "Single Light," crafted by the talented TAU film student, Shaylee Atary.

In honor of her late husband, filmmaker Yahav Winner, we were privileged to screen his acclaimed work, "The Boy," which deeply resonated with current events in Israel. It was a deeply moving experience to witness his film so shortly after his unfortunate passing on kibbutz Kfar Aza.

The evening was further enriched by the screening of "Beetroot Soup," offering a unique and humorous perspective on family dynamics.

The highlight of the night was the poignant conversation between Shaylee and the esteemed Dan Patterson. We had the opportunity to hear Shaylee's story of her life-changing experience on October 7th, her insights into the world of filmmaking, and her reflections on her late husband's film, as well as her thoughts on navigating a changed world.
