Hadas, was born in Rehovot, daughter of Nachum and Yael Dror (research employee of the Faculty of Life Sciences, in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology), older sister of Nitzan and Erez and granddaughter of the Dror and S'chukin families.
Hadas spent her childhood years in the cities of Rechovot and Kfar-Saba. When she finished the Third grade she moved with her family to the moshava of Tel-Mond where she attended "Shelanu" elementary school. In her final year she attended the Ninth grade in "Rupin" middle school.
The blue-eyed girl became an energetic teenager full of vitality and joy. A girl who radiated warmth and love and whose sensitivity and will to help others was apparent. She was active in the Tel-Mond community center and was also an active member and contributor at the "Poleg" scouts-troupe in Tel-Mond.
Hadas danced well to the Jazz style, played the organ, liked to travel, played sports and even took Windsurfing. Like any girl in her age she liked going out to events and parties, and on her vacations she found enough time to volunteer to Ya'el – "Yad Ezer La'Chole" non-profit organization in Tel Ha'Shomer hospital.
Her friends described her as a happy girl who was full of life and who loved to laugh, who possessed tremendous willpower, endless vigor and the ability to support encourage and help in moments of crisis. Hadas was a loyal friend with whom it was impossible to argue, who always worried about everyone's satisfaction, and the one who organized the parties and bestowed her friends with her excitement.
On Monday, 4.3.1996, Purim eve, Hadas went out with her three best friends – Nili Zeltzer, Bat-Chen Shachak and Dana Guterman, to celebrate in Dizengoff Center in Tel-Aviv. At 15:57 Hadas, Bat-Chen and Dana were killed in a deadly terrorist attack. As the four friends were crossing the crosswalk on Dizengoff Street, corner of King-George Street, at the entrance of the "Lev Dizengoff" shopping and recreational center, a "Hamas" suicide bomber who was walking alongside them exploded a deadly explosive device that he carried in a handbag. Hadas, Bat-Chen and Dana were killed on the spot.
This terrorist attack in Dizengoff Center was part of a terrorist attacks sequence by the "Hamas" organization, where 13 people were killed, over a 100 people were injured, and severe damage was cause to property, structures and vehicles.
Hadas was 14.5 years-old in death. She was buried in the Tel-Mond cemetery alongside her friends Bat-Chen and Dana.
In the Moshava of Tel-Mond the "Hadas and Bat-Chen Garden", "Ha'Banot Square" and a computer center were established in memory of the three friends.
Hadas' memory was also perpetuated in the "Scent of the Hadas" memorial book, in a video film, and in the Theatre Production Fund that was founded in the Faculty of the Dramatic Arts in Tel-Aviv University. Every year the fund supports the production of one theatre performance.
