"Paris on the Water", Hadas Ayalon's film, an M.A. student of the Department of Film and Television, is one of the three winners of a Student Academy Awards Oscar in the Foreign Film category for 2014.

The ceremony will take place on June 7th in Los-Angeles. The creators who won in the different categories will be invited by the academy for a week of workshops, meeting and events revolving around the ceremony. The additional winners in the foreign film category who will join Ayalon in Los-Angeles are Peter Bauman from England and Lenart Raf from Germany. During the ceremony it will be announced whether Ayalon's film has won a gold, silver or bronze statuette.

Ayalon's film (27 minutes) tells the story of Batya (Miriam Zohar), a famous former actress, who after years of professional frustration gets the chance to go back to the movie industry. However, an unexpected incident on the day of the audition forces her to cope with her husband (Ilan Dor) as well as with her life's choices. The movie was filmed by Daniel Miller, edited by Aya Somech and produced by Rotem Alima.

The movie will be screened this June in an international premiere as part of Tel-Aviv's Student Festival.
