Eyal Kless

Violin

Eyal Kless is an Israeli violinist, pedagogue, and author, maintaining an international career that bridges performance, teaching, and literature. He serves on the faculty of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, where he teaches violin.

As a performer, Kless appears regularly in solo recitals and chamber music concerts in Israel and abroad. He was the founder and first violinist of the Israel Haydn Quartet for 13 years and now leads the Kless trio. Kless has collaborated with leading orchestras and musicians in Israel in both concerto and chamber repertoire. His artistic work spans the classical canon and contemporary and interdisciplinary projects. One of the recent projects Kless is participating in is performing the Kreutzer Sonata alongside the famous actor Sasson Gabai, who performs scenes from the play based on Tolstoy's novella, "Kreutzer Sonata."   

Kless is active as an educator, presenting masterclasses and lectures on violin performance, interpretation, and stage presence. His teaching combines technical discipline with a strong emphasis on communication and narrative expression in music. Kless strongly believes in giving students the technical and analysis tools so they can express themselves through their interpretation.

Kless is deeply engaged in music education. In addition to teaching at leading institutions and international masterclasses, he maintains an active YouTube channel dedicated to violin teaching, performance practice, and musical interpretation, reaching students and young musicians worldwide.

In parallel to his musical activities, Kless is also an internationally published novelist. His first Hebrew novel, Rocca’s Violin (Korim Publications, 2008), a comedy about a violinist who falls in love with the wrong violin. He later expanded into speculative fiction with The Lost Puzzler, and The Puzzler's War published internationally by HarperCollins Voyager in English and by Blanvalet/Random House in German.
