1. Two etudes in contrasting styles from the following list:
Arban - Characteristic Etudes 1,2,3,4,6
Charlier - 36 Etudes
Brandt - 34 Etudes
Bordogni: 24 Vocalises
2. First movement or second and third movements from one of the following Concertos:
Haydn / Hummel / Neruda
3. First movement or a one-movement work from the following list:
Brandt - Concertpiece No. 1
Brandt - Concertpiece No. 2
Böhme - Concerto No. 1
Bozza - Caprice
Arutunian - Concerto
Hindemith - Sonata
Peskin Concerto No. 1
Enesco - Légende
4. Two Orchestral excerpts:
a. Beethoven - Leonora No. 3 (The backstage Fanfare)
b. Mussorgsky / Ravel - Pictures in the Exhibition - Promenade, measures 1-8
***Special requests regarding the repertoire must be approved by the Head of the Wind Department
French horn
1. An Etude by Kopprasch, Maxime-Alphonse (Vol. 3 onwards) or Muller, representing the candidate's level.
2. Mozart – First movement from the Second, Third or Fourth Horn Concerto (including Cadenza in the Third and Fourth Concerto).
3. A movement from a work, or a single-movement work, in a different style from the Concerto.
4. Two Orchestral excerpts from the following list:
a. Tchaikovsky - Fifth Symphony, second movement, First horn, measures 9 to 28.
b. R. Strauss- Till Eulenspiegel, First horn, measures 6 to 20.
c. Beethoven - Third Symphony, third movement - Trio - Second horn.

Trombone
1. Two etudes:
Bordogni / Rochue – Etude No. 4
Kopprasch – Etude No. 3
2. One of the following works:
a. David - Concertino – First and second movements
b. Saint-Saens - Cavatine
c. Guilmant - Morceau Symphonique
3. Two Orchestral excerpts:
Mozart - Requiem - Second Trombone, Tuba Mirum: measures 1-18
Wagner - Valkyries - First Trombone – pickup to number 3 until two measures after number 6

Bass trombone
1. Two Etudes:
Bordogni / Rochue – Etude No. 4
Kopprasch – Etude No. 3
With the option of a lower octave
2. Bach - Saraband from the fifth Suite for cello solo
3. Sachse - Trombone Concerto – First movement
4. Two Orchestral excerpts:
a. Haydn – The Creation, movement No. 26
b. Strauss - Ein Heldenleben - Numbers 61-65

Tuba
1. First movement from a concerto either by V. Williams or E. Gregson
2. First two movements from a baroque sonata by B. Marcello / H. Eccles / G. Telemann
3. An etude from either book by Kopprasch / Blazhevich
4. Two Orchestral excerpts:
a. Prokofiev 5th Symphony, first movement, no. 3 to 6
b. Mahler Symphony no. 1, third movement Solo - hold the last D 4.5 measures, until no. 4
